House floor plans
A house floor plan generator for one- and two-storey homes.
Roommie generates house floor plans from a text brief. Give the footprint and the rooms, for example "3-bed house, 10 by 14 m, open living and kitchen", and it drafts a dimensioned, furnished layout with a 3D model. Ask for a second floor and it adds one, linked by stairs.
Try it freeWhat it draws today
One or several floors on a rectangular footprint, with straight walls. Every floor has its own plan and sheets, stairs link them, and the 3D model stacks them. That covers most bungalows, cabins, townhouses and small homes.
What it does not draw yet
L-shaped footprints, a different footprint on each floor, curved walls, roofs and the outside of the building.
Use it early
It is strongest at the first step: testing how rooms fit a footprint before you pay for detailed drawings.
Before you build
Roommie outputs are schematic-design drafts for review, not construction documents. A licensed architect or engineer must review and sign anything that is built or permitted.
Questions
Can AI design a house?
AI can draft the room layout fast. It cannot replace an architect or engineer for structure, code and permits.
Can it do two floors?
Yes. Ask for a second floor and Roommie copies the shell, lets you change the rooms, and links the floors with stairs. All floors share one footprint.
Does it show the outside of the house?
No. Roommie draws interiors: plan, furniture, electrical, lighting and an interior 3D model.
